Volunteer Assignments
Thank you for your willingness to be a major part of our production. Being a backstage volunteer is a responsibility that must be rehearsed; therefore, volunteers are asked to take their role very seriously at recital rehearsal and on the day of the show. Being an usher at an MCDF show means you are our representing the studio in customer service and customer care. We are looking for hard working, friendly, kind individuals. Ushers must be punctual and have top notch people and problem solving skills. Ushers must be comfortable with technology and will be able to download the ticket scanning app onto their personal device.
As a class backstage volunteer or an usher , you will need to attend 2 training sessions to prepare for your role. The first training will take place via Zoom during the first week of May and the second training session will take place on Thursday May 18th at the theatre. Time to be announced at a later date.
A detailed list of responsibilities for each of these roles will be shared during training.
We also have a post show volunteer assignments that require no training or serious commitment.
You may sign up to volunteer for any show your student is assigned to. Sign up is available on your parent portal March 8 - April 30th.
Backstage volunteers will be able to watch their dancer from the wings, but will have to remain backstage during the entire show. Ushers will have a little more flexibility to watch the performance.
